OCR: Macintosh TROUBLE SHOOTER Control Panels: Sharing Setup The Network Identity section enables you to specify your Mac's ID on a network. And also to add some security via the password feature. The File Sharing section allows you to switch on/off sharing of your hard disk. Press the Start button to activate Sharing. The Program Linking section allows this Mac to share programs over the network. However you may need special software to make this work. If you have network capability, then your emulated Mac will be able to 'publish' it's own hard disk over the whole network. This will enable other Mac or PC users (or even another Amiga) to "see" your computer, and be able to copy, read or even delete files from your HD. First, you must give the Sharing Setup control panel a Network Identity, via the Owner Name, and Macintosh Name. You can type in anything you like in these two fields. For added protection, you may also setup a password, in Owner Password field. Sharing Setup Network Identity Owner Name: M Owner Password: ******* Macintosh Name: Macintosh File Sharing Status.
